ScissorCrafts® Rules

Rules for Use

Copyright rules in a nutshell: All images are specifically intended for personal, educational and non-profit use only. The images on ScissorCraft websites may be printed loose-leaf, directly on paper* and shared in hard-copy form with all existing copyright and contact information left intact on the printings. The images may not be sold or used for profit in any way, shape or form, including book, or manuscript or other bound format without prior permission or license from me or my attorneys. In other words, print on paper (or any other medium that can be fed through the average printer/copier), hand out for free to color, cut up and otherwise assemble, and it's all good.

However, if you publish, post any image, in any form, electronically on your blog, website, twitter, etc, or make products with these images, including books and pamphlets to sell and you'll be in violation.

Absolutely no commercial use of these images in any form what-so-ever without a prior license agreement through my attorneys, the Doniger Law Firm.

*The term "paper" includes any medium that is intended to use in small home or office printers and copiers such as decal, magnet sheets, iron-on transfer paper, labels, etc.

Historic Images and others used in ScissorCrafts®

All images based upon public domain or historic artifacts are identified and attributed to the original artist(s) or publisher whenever the origin is known.

The Cupid angels depicted are derived from Italian Renaissance paintings dating from the 1600's.

Many crosses in Paper Crosses for Children are derived from historically well-known, recognized and traditional cross forms used by Christian organizations throughout the centuries.

Many of the beginning Kirigami/Origami folding craft images scattered among all scissorcraft sites originated from an old 1914-1923 publication entitled "Our Wonder World, A library of knowledge in ten volumes." Publisher was Geo L Shuman & Co.

Some of the designs on the Pysanky egg images are derived from ancient, traditional peasant art, and the Russian eggs are artistic renditions of Imperial Russian Faberge Easter egg designs..

The geometrical paper crop circle patterns are artistic renderings from photographs of actual Crop Circles which have cropped up in various locations around the world over the past 20 or so years - most likely the work of humans, not space aliens.

Some historic snowflake designs on Paper Snowflakes for Children are renditions of centuries old sketches drawn by early snow and ice explorers and scientists.
